Jobber is hiring a Senior Analyst, Customer Analytics for a 12-month contract, sitting within the Strategic Analytics team that forms part of the company's Strategy & Analytics function — an internal consulting and decision-support group. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Customer Analytics, the successful candidate owns analytical workstreams inside cross-functional initiatives, helping stakeholders turn sometimes ambiguous business questions into structured analysis, clear insights, and practical recommendations. The role spans exploratory deep dives, performance measurement, scenario modelling, impact evaluation, experimentation, and building decision-support tools, all in service of a SaaS platform used by small home-service businesses. Candidates can be based in Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, or Kitchener-Waterloo, with intentional in-person collaboration balanced against remote work. Compensation is published as a minimum annual salary of $106,590, a midpoint of $125,400, and a maximum of $144,210, with the range tied to demonstrated expertise and growth potential; the package also includes health benefits, RRSP/TFSA/FHSA matching, and stock options. The team values analytical rigour, peer review, and knowledge sharing, and expects analysts to work comfortably with AI-assisted workflows while remaining accountable for validating outputs.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to frame business objectives as well-scoped analytical questions and carry analyses independently from exploration through to recommendations
- Act as an analytical thought partner, surfacing opportunities, challenging assumptions, and proposing practical next steps
- Conduct hands-on exploratory analysis and deep dives to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers
- Apply techniques such as segmentation, cohort analysis, scenario analysis, impact measurement, and experimentation
- Evaluate expected or realized impact of key initiatives and business changes, and advise where to iterate
- Build metrics, reporting, dashboards, and other decision-support tools that enable scalable decision-making
- Communicate findings through clear narratives with assumptions, limitations, and business context
- Use modern analytical tooling, including AI-assisted workflows, to speed and improve exploration, QA, documentation, and communication
- Collaborate with Analytics, Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, and Data Science peers on quality and consistency
- Contribute to peer review, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of team practices
Key requirements
- Expert-level SQL and experience with complex relational data
- Strong quantitative skills with a track record in exploratory analysis, performance measurement, and custom analytics
- Experience with segmentation, cohort analysis, scenario analysis, impact evaluation, or experimentation
- Proficiency in BI and visualization tools such as Tableau
- Strong business acumen and curiosity about the context behind an analytical question
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills for varied audiences
- Collaborative, proactive style with comfort navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities
- Comfort with AI-assisted tools and sound judgment in validating their outputs
- Asset: Python for analysis, automation, or reproducible workflows
