Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of a defined project while communicating daily with teammates through questions and status updates
- Improve existing code through progressive refactoring rather than leaving it as found
- Write and maintain tests to ensure the reliability of data systems
- Participate in code reviews to uphold quality standards and spread knowledge across the team
- Support continuous integration and deployment workflows
- Contribute to data work that directly affects drivers and passengers on the platform
Key requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field at a Canadian university (required)
- Graduation date between December 2027 and Summer 2028 (required); master's students with prior full-time experience must have under two years of relevant work
- Available for a Summer 2027 internship in Toronto
- Solid grounding in computer science fundamentals
- Working knowledge of SQL and data modeling concepts
- Hands-on experience with databases
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in tackling large-scale data problems in production settings
