Stripe is hiring a Data Analyst in Toronto to join its Data Science community. The role focuses on turning Stripe’s complex payments and business data into metrics, pipelines, dashboards, and recommendations that support company-wide decisions. The analyst will partner with cross-functional teams and help stakeholders become more data-literate and self-sufficient.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with teams across Stripe to identify data needs and translate business questions into analytical problems.
- Extract insights from large, complex datasets and communicate findings through clear data storytelling.
- Build and maintain metrics, scalable data pipelines, dashboards, and reports used to run the business.
- Deliver actionable recommendations that inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Create self-service tooling and provide training so partner teams can report autonomously.
Key requirements
- MS/MA plus 2 years, or BS/BA plus 3 years, of full-time experience in business intelligence engineering, data analysis, or business analysis, excluding internships.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and dashboards.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate results that drive impact.
- Preferred: experience at a growth-stage internet or software company, Spark, Python, strong statistics, engineering best practices, leadership reporting, and AI tool proficiency.
