Later is hiring a Co op in Vancouver!
Later, an influencer-marketing platform that pairs an AI-driven product with proprietary social data and managed creator campaigns, is hiring a full-time co-op to join its product team in Vancouver. The four-month term begins January 2027 and may be extended. The successful candidate will contribute directly to new product features rather than shadowing, so the role suits a third-year undergraduate (graduate students may also be considered) in statistics, computer science, math, physics, economics, or a similarly technical field who codes well and wants to apply statistical modeling and machine learning to a real product. Later emphasizes rigorous, unbiased analysis, close collaboration with non-technical colleagues, and a customer-service mindset, and invites applicants to submit a resume, cover letter, unofficial transcript, and any portfolio or GitHub links.
Key responsibilities
- Build and support new product features alongside the product team
- Apply statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to product problems
- Write and maintain code in R and/or Python, with SQL used where relevant
- Deploy models and analyses into production contexts (potentially using Spark, AWS, Docker, Flask, or plumber)
- Communicate findings and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders across functions
- Ask the right questions to scope problems and deliver practical, business-relevant results

- Strong coding ability in R and/or Python
- Understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning methods
- SQL experience is an asset
- Exposure to big data tooling or production model deployment (Spark, AWS, Docker, Flask, plumber) is a plus
- Genuine interest in social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest is a plus
- Clear communication skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, agile team
- Application package: resume, cover letter, unofficial transcript, and optional portfolio or Git links
- Seniority: Co-op / internship (4-month term, potential extension)
- Work mode: Vancouver, BC; remote eligibility not specified for this role
- Salary: $4,000 per month
- Key skills: R, Python, SQL, statistical modeling, machine learning, Spark, AWS, Docker, Flask, communication, social media
