Wealthsimple is hiring an Associate, Treasury Reporting Analytics to sit within its Toronto-based Treasury team, supporting a business that manages billions in client assets across investing, trading, crypto, tax and spend products. This is a reporting and analytics role built for someone who pairs rigorous financial analysis with hands-on data work: extracting and validating treasury data from internal systems and the Kyriba treasury platform, translating business needs into technical reporting solutions, and producing recurring deliverables that satisfy regulatory requirements and inform strategic decisions. The position sits at a busy intersection — collaborating with Product, Engineering, Data Science and Finance, and experimenting with in-house AI tooling to streamline workflows. The team explicitly wants a builder: someone detail-oriented and proactive who spots gaps in controls and processes and fixes them rather than waiting for a playbook. Key responsibilities
- Build financial analytics and reports that support regulatory compliance and strategic decision-making
- Extract, analyze and validate treasury data using internal systems and the Kyriba Treasury Management System
- Design and refine dashboards that give stakeholders clear, actionable insights
- Own multiple reporting deliverables across varying frequencies, managing stakeholder expectations and quality standards
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science and Finance teams, including use of in-house AI tools to improve workflows
- Translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions alongside IT and data teams
- Conduct deep analysis in SQL to inform treasury operations and strategy decisions
- Support Treasury cash and collateral management projects and cross-team problem-solving
- Identify and implement process improvements that raise the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting
Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or a related field
- 3+ years in financial analysis or a comparable role
- 2+ years of hands-on Kyriba Treasury Management System experience, including report configuration and data extraction
- Advanced SQL and Excel proficiency
- Demonstrated end-to-end report lifecycle management, from requirements gathering through delivery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, comfortable with ambiguity
- Clear written and verbal communication across technical and executive audiences
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities, plan effectively and act proactively
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Superset, financial modeling, and coding or automation is preferred
- Background in treasury, banking and payments, credit products, prepaid cards or spend operations is an asset
