Stripe, a financial infrastructure platform used by millions of businesses worldwide, is hiring a Strategy Analytics Business Partner Analyst to join its Strategy & Analytics (S&A) team. The group functions as a strategy and analytics partner to Operations leadership, blending data work with business planning and operational cadence. This is a remote position in which the successful candidate becomes the resident data and insights expert for an assigned business area — likely touching Financial Crimes and risk-related operations. The role suits someone who enjoys moving between hands-on SQL work and executive-level storytelling, and who can influence decisions across a large, globally distributed organization without direct authority.
Key responsibilities
- Turn large, complex datasets into actionable insights using SQL, and serve as the data authority for the assigned business area.
- Build metrics, models and large-scale dashboards that track the health of both user-facing and internal teams.
- Conduct research and trend analysis to surface opportunities, risks and strategic priorities for leadership.
- Craft narratives and written documents that translate analysis into recommendations for senior Operations and Stripe executives.
- Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Data Science, Product/Engineering and other teams to drive cross-functional change.
- Design and run operational reviews and the rhythm of the business, applying a return-on-investment lens to decisions and trade-offs.
- Guide planning and goal-setting for the business area, including progress checks through the year, and support near-, medium- and long-term forecasting for Financial Crimes.
Key requirements
- 5+ years in analytical and strategic roles within management consulting, Operations, Support, Risk or Financial Services.
- Expert-level SQL skills and a strong grasp of data relationships and analytical methods.
- Demonstrated communication, presentation and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience working in or alongside Operations, Support, Risk, Trust & Safety, Financial Crimes or Financial Services.
- Track record of working cross-functionally with globally distributed teams to hit business goals using data.
- Ability to shift between high-level strategy and fine-grained detail.
- Preferred: fast-paced or high-growth environment experience, structured problem solving with business acumen, and familiarity with Tableau.
