Jobber is hiring a Senior Analyst, Customer Analytics on a 12-month contract to join its Strategy & Analytics organization, an internal consulting and decision-support function. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Customer Analytics, the analyst will own analytical workstreams within cross-functional initiatives, helping teams across the company frame ambiguous business questions, run hands-on analysis, and turn findings into recommendations. The role spans exploratory deep dives, performance measurement, scenario modeling, experimentation, and building metrics and dashboards, with an emphasis on pairing quantitative rigor with business context and clear storytelling. The position is open to candidates based in Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, or Kitchener-Waterloo, reflecting the company's intentional approach to in-person collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Scope analytical questions with stakeholders and carry analyses independently from exploration to recommendations
- Act as an analytical thought partner, surfacing opportunities and challenging assumptions with data
- Run exploratory analysis and deep dives on trends, risks, and drivers of business performance
- Apply segmentation, cohort analysis, scenario analysis, impact measurement, and experimentation
- Evaluate expected and realized impact of initiatives and identify where to iterate
- Build metrics, reporting, dashboards, and decision-support tools
- Communicate findings through clear narratives that note assumptions, limitations, and context
- Use AI-assisted workflows responsibly while validating outputs and owning final quality
- Collaborate with Analytics, BI, Analytics Engineering, and Data Science peers
Key requirements
- Expert-level SQL and comfort with complex relational data
- Strong quantitative skills across exploratory analysis and performance measurement
- Experience with segmentation, cohort analysis, scenario analysis, impact evaluation, or experimentation
- Proficiency with BI and visualization tools such as Tableau
- Business acumen and curiosity about the context behind a question
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills for varied audiences
- Collaborative, proactive style with comfort navigating ambiguity
- Judgment to validate and responsibly use AI-assisted tools
- Asset: Python for analysis, automation, or reproducible workflows
- Plus: SaaS, subscription, or cross-functional business analytics experience
