Affirm is hiring a remote Analytics Lead!

Affirm is hiring an Analytics Lead to join its Growth Analytics International team, working remotely within Canada. The role centres on building the measurement and reporting foundation for Affirm's expansion into new markets, starting with Australia and extending to later international launches. This is an end-to-end business analytics position: the successful candidate will define success metrics, design experiments, build scalable data models and dashboards, and turn findings into recommendations leadership can act on. Because the team works across product, risk, finance, commercial and operations, the job calls for someone who pairs quantitative rigour with commercial judgement and can influence both technical and non-technical audiences. The posting also emphasises mentoring junior analysts, running weekly cross-functional metric reviews, and using AI-assisted tooling to speed up analysis. Affirm describes itself as remote-first, with occasional in-person work and an in-person onboarding experience, and offers subsidised health coverage, monthly tech and wellness stipends, flexible time off and an employee stock purchase plan.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and continuously improve the operational analytics framework for new international markets so measurement, reporting and decision-making scale with expansion.
  • Own analytics work end to end: set success metrics, form hypotheses, track performance, and build dashboards and data models that others across the company can reuse.
  • Apply a business-owner mindset, surfacing growth, profitability and user-experience opportunities through analysis and product sense.
  • Convert ambiguous problems into testable hypotheses and design experiments that validate product-market fit and economic viability.
  • Package findings into clear narratives and business cases that inform leadership decisions.
  • Lead weekly cross-functional metric reviews, investigating notable shifts with partners and proposing concrete follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with Product, Risk, Finance, Commercial and Operations to align strategy and execute against objectives, building trusted advisory relationships.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts toward high-impact, business-relevant work.

Key requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, finance or economics.
  • 5+ years of successful experience in a cross-functional analytical role.
  • Solid grasp of consumer lending and credit, including lending economics, portfolio performance and credit metrics; exposure to European or APAC lending markets is an asset.
  • Practical and theoretical command of A/B testing.
  • Proficiency with SQL and statistical analysis in Python.
  • Track record of juggling multiple workstreams and prioritising an analytics roadmap.
  • Hands-on use of AI-powered tools such as Cursor or Claude to accelerate analysis and automate workflows, plus appetite to champion AI adoption.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a fast-moving environment, combined with curiosity and a team-first, humble attitude.
  • Prior experience mentoring junior analysts.
  • Seniority: Lead (5+ years experience)
  • Work mode: Remote
  • Salary: CAN $145,000 - $205,000 per year
  • Key skills: SQL, Python, A/B testing, statistical analysis, credit and lending analytics, dashboarding and reporting, data modeling, experimentation design, cross-functional stakeholder management, mentoring, AI-assisted analytics tools
